Maorkos was founded by Göksenin Ay in May 2024. Embracing a design philosophy that combines different textures and materials with provocative designs in a simple and minimalistic style, Maorkos is an accessory and ready-to-wear brand. The brand draws inspiration from queer aesthetics and the geographical surroundings where the designer was born and raised.

Produced in collaboration with local producers and suppliers within the historical peninsula of Istanbul, Maorkos stands out from mass production and fast fashion. The pieces are meticulously handcrafted by craftsmans, going beyond the principles of mass production and fast consumption. The items are created by combining sustainable materials and a supply chain that adheres to the principles of sustainability. Surplus and leftover leather pieces are collected from local leather producers.

Accessories and bags, hand-stitched in an atelier specializing in bag craftsmanship for three generations, come together with provocative designs, reflecting a commitment to craftsmanship and sustainability.
